An Ancient Practice, A Modern Approach

Gold Coast Acupuncturist

Hollie is the acupuncturist at The Good Joint, holding a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture Therapies from Endeavour College of Natural Health. After working alongside the team during the final years of her studies, she developed a strong foundation in collaborative, patient-centred care and a deep understanding of musculoskeletal health. Based at our Mermaid Beach clinic, Hollie provides acupuncture for patients across the Gold Coast, supporting concerns such as pain, tension, stress and overall wellbeing.

Hollie SCHWARK

Hollie blends traditional Chinese medicine frameworks with Western biomedical understanding to create comprehensive, individualised treatment plans. While she enjoys treating musculoskeletal conditions, Hollie also has a particular interest in women’s health and stress-related conditions. With a warm, caring nature, she is passionate about supporting her patients to feel heard, supported, and empowered through their treatment journey.

Our Approach

Treatment Modalities

Our acupuncture treatments combine traditional techniques with modern understanding to support pain relief, recovery, and overall balance.

Acupuncture

A traditional therapy using very fine sterile needles placed at specific points on the body to regulate the nervous system, reduce pain, and support the body's natural healing processes.

Electroacupuncture

A gentle electrical current is applied to acupuncture needles to enhance their effect. It is commonly used to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and support muscle and nerve function.

Chinese Remedial Massage (Tui Na)

A hands-on therapeutic massage using traditional Chinese techniques to mobilise joints, release muscle tension, and support natural balance, combined with elements of Western soft tissue release.

Cupping Therapy

A traditional technique using suction or heat to lift and mobilise tissues, helping to improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, and support recovery.

Gua Sha

A traditional therapy using a smooth-edged tool to gently scrape the skin, promoting circulation and easing muscle tension.

Chinese Herbal Medicine Formula Prescription

Traditional herbal formulas dispensed in convenient capsule or tablet form to support natural balance, wellbeing, and internal healing.

First time at the Good Joint?

What to expect during your visit

FIRST, WE LISTEN
What brought you in is only part of the story. We’ll talk about what’s going on, what it’s stopping you from doing, and what you actually want to get back to.

THEN, WE FIGURE IT OUT
We’ll assess how your body moves, what’s working well and what isn’t. The goal isn’t just to find where it hurts - it’s to understand what might be driving it.

WE MAKE A PLAN
No vague “come back and see how you go.” We’ll explain what we found, what we think needs to happen next, and build a plan around your goals, your life and your body.

THEN, WE GET TO WORK
Your first visit isn’t just a chat. Where appropriate, we’ll start treatment straight away - using the hands-on techniques, movement and rehab that make sense for you.

ONE BODY. ONE PLAN. A WHOLE TEAM BEHIND YOU.
And if we think someone else at The Good Joint can help get you there faster, we’ll bring them in. That’s the point of doing healthcare together.
