Frequently Asked Questions
What techniques do your chiropractors use?
Our chiropractors use a combination of modern and traditional techniques tailored to your body and goals. These may include manual adjustments, joint mobilisations, soft tissue release, dry needling, cupping, and rehabilitative exercises. We work to improve joint function, reduce pain, and restore balance across the musculoskeletal system.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No referral is required to see our chiropractors — you’re welcome to book directly at any time. If you're attending under WorkCover, DVA, or another third-party provider, please bring the relevant documentation to your first session.
How long is each chiropractic appointment?
Initial chiropractic consultations are 45 minutes, giving us time to assess your condition, perform any necessary testing, and begin hands-on treatment. Follow-up sessions generally run for 20–30 minutes, depending on your personalised treatment plan.
Can I use private health insurance?
Yes. Chiropractic care is included in most private health insurance policies under extras cover. We offer instant claiming via HICAPS, so you’ll only pay the gap on the day of your appointment.
Do you accept WorkCover referrals?
Yes. If you have an approved WorkCover claim and current medical certificate, your chiropractic sessions may be fully funded. Our team will coordinate with your case manager to ensure everything is streamlined and stress-free.
Can I use DVA (Department of Veterans' Affairs) referrals?
Absolutely. DVA card holders with a valid GP referral may be eligible for fully covered chiropractic care. We are proud to support veterans and will handle the paperwork directly with DVA to make your experience seamless.
Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?
Yes, chiropractic care can be safe and gentle during pregnancy. We use pregnancy-specific techniques and positioning to help manage back pain, pelvic discomfort and postural tension, and to support your comfort through pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
What conditions do chiropractors treat?
Chiropractors commonly treat back and neck pain, headaches, sciatica, joint stiffness, postural issues, and sports injuries. Care is tailored to improve movement and reduce discomfort, helping you get back to doing what you love.
