The Good Joint Grows: Meet Our New Chiropractor, Physiotherapist & Remedial Massage Therapist

Big things are happening at The Good Joint!

As part of our ongoing commitment to offering world-class care, we're thrilled to introduce three new team members who each bring their own unique blend of clinical expertise, performance background, and genuine passion for helping people move, feel, and live better.

Meet Dr. Julie Paturau (Chiropractor), Dr. Mike Fielding (Physiotherapist), and Mikayla Dow (Remedial Massage Therapist) – the latest additions to The Good Joint family.

Dr Julie Paturau – Chiropractor

From Mauritius to the 2024 Paris Olympics, and now to the Gold Coast – Dr. Julie Paturau brings an extraordinary background to her chiropractic care. With a Bachelor of Science in Chiropractic and a Bachelor of Clinical Chiropractic from Murdoch University, Julie pairs evidence-based practice with lived experience as a high-performance athlete.

Julie treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions using manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, dry needling, sport massage, pregnancy adjusting, and lifestyle modifications. Her approach is personalised and empowering – she’s here to help you make informed decisions about your health and recovery.

She has a special interest in women’s health and paediatrics, including pregnancy care and support for conditions like scoliosis. Whether you’re an elite competitor, active parent, or weekend warrior, Julie understands what it takes to move well and feel your best.

Dr Mike Fielding – Physiotherapist

If you're looking for the gold standard in movement rehab and performance optimisation, meet Dr. Mike Fielding. With over 25 years of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Mike brings a results-driven, integrated approach that bridges the gap between injury recovery and peak performance.

Mike’s career has taken him across the globe – as a physiotherapist, a lead clinical educator, and an elite athlete himself. He’s taught thousands of clinicians across the UK, Ireland, Brazil, New Zealand, and Australia through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) and brings those same principles into every session at The Good Joint.

Expect a truly holistic experience: Mike blends physiotherapy with Pilates, strength & conditioning, breathwork, movement retraining, and functional rehabilitation. Whether you're overcoming chronic pain, rebuilding after injury, or chasing new physical goals, Mike’s toolbox is vast – and backed by decades of real-world clinical and athletic experience.

Mikayla Dow – Remedial Massage Therapist

Blending strength, mobility, and therapeutic touch, Mikayla Dow delivers a new style of remedial massage at The Good Joint.

With a Diploma of Remedial Massage, Cert III & IV in Fitness, and certification as a Zenthai Shiatsu Level 1 Practitioner, Mikayla brings a strong foundation in body mechanics and movement-based therapy. Her background in pole fitness and advanced instruction means she knows firsthand how the body moves – and what it needs to recover well.

Her treatments are collaborative and active, combining cupping, muscle energy techniques (METs), and soft tissue mobilisation to support recovery, improve mobility, and reduce pain. Whether you're dealing with tension, soreness, or performance setbacks, Mikayla is here to help you feel strong, mobile, and at home in your body.
