Jo Turek
Jo Turek is a registered psychologist (AHPRA) offering personalised, evidence-based mental health support on the Gold Coast. With formal qualifications in both Psychology and a Master of Public Health, Jo brings a unique, holistic approach to therapy that blends clinical insight with a deep understanding of overall well-being.
With a background in the health and fitness industry, Jo has a strong passion for both sport psychology and health psychology. She works extensively with individuals looking to improve not just their mental health, but their mindset, performance, and long-term resilience - whether that’s in day-to-day life or on the field.

How do I book an appointment?
Booking with Jo is easy. You can call our friendly team on 0493 711 967 or request an appointment online via our booking page.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No referral is required to see Jo privately.
To access Medicare rebates, you’ll need a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.
How does a Mental Health Care Plan work?
A Mental Health Care Plan provides up to 10 Medicare-subsidised psychology sessions per calendar year.
Your GP initially refers you for six sessions, with a possible four more after review.
How long is each psychology appointment?
Each consultation with Jo runs for 60 minutes.
Can I use private health insurance?
Yes — if your fund includes psychology, you may be eligible for a rebate.
HICAPS is available onsite so you only pay the gap.
Do you accept WorkCover referrals?
Yes. Eligible clients with a current WorkCover claim may access funded sessions.
Can I use DVA referrals?
Yes — DVA cardholders with a current GP referral may be eligible for funded sessions.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes — secure telehealth sessions are available with the same fees and rebates.
