Private Health

On-the-spot claiming with HICAPS

Physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy, remedial massage, acupuncture and psychology are usually covered under extras cover. Bring your health fund card, or your digital card if your fund supports it, and we claim straight away so you only pay the gap. How much you get back depends on your fund, your level of cover, annual limits and any waiting periods, so it is worth checking with your fund before your first visit.

Government and Insurance Funding

Medicare, DVA, WorkCover and CTP

Some appointments can be funded through a government scheme or an insurer. Each has its own paperwork, so please tell us how you are paying when you book.

Medicare Chronic Condition Management plans

If you have a chronic condition, your GP may refer you for allied health care under a Chronic Condition Management plan. Medicare currently provides a rebate for up to five allied health visits per calendar year in total, shared across providers. Bring your GP referral to your appointment. The rebate usually does not cover the full fee, so there is often a gap.

DVA

We accept DVA clients. Gold Card holders may be covered for clinically necessary treatment, and White Card holders for accepted conditions. You will generally need a referral from your GP or another eligible referrer, so check with DVA or your GP before your first visit.

WorkCover and CTP

We accept Queensland and NSW WorkCover. Once your claim is accepted, treatment may be funded by the insurer, so please have your claim number and insurer details ready when you book. If you were injured in a motor vehicle accident, treatment may be funded through a CTP claim once the insurer has accepted it. Bring your claim details and any approval from the insurer. Our work injury rehabilitation page explains more.

Questions about fees

Still unsure how to pay or claim? Call us on 07 5651 6594 and our team will help.

Where can I see your current fees?
Every appointment type and its fee is listed in our online booking. Initial appointments are longer than follow-ups, so they cost a little more.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed for most appointments. You only need one to claim through a Medicare plan, DVA, or in some cases WorkCover or CTP.
Can I use Medicare and my health fund for the same visit?
No. Each appointment can be claimed through either Medicare or your private health fund, not both. Some people use their Medicare visits first and their extras cover later in the year.
How many Medicare visits can I have?
Under current rules, up to five rebated allied health visits per calendar year in total, across all allied health providers. Your GP decides how they are allocated.
Can I pay on the day?
Yes. Payment is taken at the end of each appointment, and private health claims are processed on the spot through HICAPS.
What if my claim is not accepted yet?
If your WorkCover or CTP claim is still being assessed, talk to us before booking. You may be able to pay privately and claim later, depending on the insurer.
