Meet Hollie
About Hollie Schwark
Hollie is the acupuncturist at Good Joint. She was part of the team during the final years of her studies, working closely with our practitioners and learning from their experience.
She blends traditional Chinese medicine frameworks with Western biomedical understanding to create individual treatment plans. Alongside musculoskeletal conditions, she has a particular interest in women's health and stress-related conditions.
Hollie's story
Grown within the Good Joint team
Hollie joined Good Joint while still studying, which gave her the chance to work alongside chiropractors, physiotherapists and osteopaths and see how a multidisciplinary clinic shares care. That collaboration is now part of how she works: if acupuncture is one part of the answer, she will make sure the other parts are covered too.
Her treatment uses traditional Chinese medicine frameworks to understand the pattern behind your symptoms, together with a Western understanding of anatomy and physiology. The result is a plan that makes sense from both points of view.
Hollie has a warm, caring approach and wants every patient to feel heard and supported through treatment.

Questions
Seeing Hollie: common questions
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are very fine. Most people feel a brief sensation as the needle goes in and then a dull or heavy feeling. Hollie will check in with you throughout.
Can I have acupuncture alongside other treatment?
Yes. Hollie often works alongside our chiropractors, physiotherapists and osteopaths, and alongside your GP or specialist.
Can I claim on private health insurance?
Yes, if your extras cover includes acupuncture. We claim on the spot in the clinic, so you only pay the gap. Your rebate depends on your fund and level of cover.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly online or by calling 07 5651 6594. If you have scans, reports or a GP letter, bring them along.
Where is the clinic and when is it open?
Good Joint is at 2563 Gold Coast Highway, Mermaid Beach, a short drive from Broadbeach, Miami and Burleigh Heads. We are open Monday to Friday, 7:15am to 6:30pm.
