Meet Nathan
About Nathan Brown
Nathan is a physiotherapist who graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Before and alongside physiotherapy, he spent more than ten years coaching Olympic weightlifting, CrossFit and strength and conditioning.
That coaching background shapes his approach. He combines hands-on treatment with targeted exercise to reduce pain, restore function and help you get stronger, whether you lift, run, play sport or just want to feel better day to day.
Nathan's story
A coach turned physiotherapist
Nathan coached Olympic weightlifting, CrossFit and strength and conditioning for over a decade. He has seen how people train, where injuries tend to come from, and how much difference good technique and sensible programming make.
He studied physiotherapy at Griffith University to add clinical assessment and treatment to that coaching experience. Today he uses both: physiotherapy to work out what is wrong, and coaching to get you back under the bar, on the field or simply moving comfortably again.
Nathan offers clear guidance, practical solutions and one-on-one support tailored to your goals.

Questions
Seeing Nathan: common questions
Can I keep training while I see Nathan?
Often, yes. Nathan will look at what you can safely keep doing and adjust your training around the injury rather than stopping everything.
Does Nathan use dry needling?
Yes, when it suits the problem. He will explain what is involved and check that you are comfortable before using it.
Can I claim on private health insurance?
Yes, if your extras cover includes physiotherapy. We claim on the spot in the clinic, so you only pay the gap. Your rebate depends on your fund and level of cover.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly online or by calling 07 5651 6594. If you have scans, reports or a GP letter, bring them along.
Where is the clinic and when is it open?
Good Joint is at 2563 Gold Coast Highway, Mermaid Beach, a short drive from Broadbeach, Miami and Burleigh Heads. We are open Monday to Friday, 7:15am to 6:30pm.
